Parent & Community Concerns

The goal of our Parent and Community Concerns committee is to support parents, guardians and family caregivers by strengthening and teaching parenting skills and encouraging involvement in school and at home; supporting the understanding of childhood development stages; providing resource materials; and networking with agencies and groups focusing on parent involvement.

In addition to family engagement efforts at our school, the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs asks each SRVUSD school to have a Parent & Community Concerns representative to connect district-wide parent learning & engagement. Our CW rep should attend all council committee meetings. Duties of the unit rep include organizing parent learning & engagement events to be held at their school, publicize parent events that are forwarded to them from the council VP and assist in the planning of the annual parent conference.
