WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
The Charger Fund's primary goal is class size reduction. This benefits every child at Charlotte Wood. While studies show that smaller class sizes improve the educational experience, the State of California does not fund class size reduction at the middle school level. Nor are there government funds to support technology in our schools. Therefore, we rely on parent donations, corporate matches, and rebates from the eScrip program.
HOW CAN I HELP?
This year, the state’s reduction in education funds has forced our district and our school to rely more heavily on the parents and the community for support. In order to maintain the average 29:1 class sizes and to fund our technology commitments, we ask for a tax-deductible donation of $395 per student. Many thanks to those parents who were able to contribute this year; the staff and community thank you for your support. If you have not yet contributed, and would like to make your donation, please click here to get started.
