What Is Site Council And Who Can Join?

The Charlotte Wood Site Council makes improvements to our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).  This is a plan of actions to raise the academic performance of all students to the level established under  the California Academic Performance Index.  California Education Code sections 41507, 41572, and 64001 and the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) require each school to consolidate all school plans for programs funded through the School and Library Improvement Block Grant, the Pupil Retention Block Grant, the Consolidated Application, and NCLB Program Improvement into the SPSA. The Council consists of the Principal, parents, students, and staff.

Members will meet on usually the 3rd Wednesday of each month from September through May from 3-4pm in Room 705 (Mrs. DeMonte's room).  Any interested parents & students are encouraged to attend (no RSVP necessary) or contact Chris George at to join.

We welcome any student to come check out a meeting at any time during the school year to see if they are interested in joining.  No RSVP required, just show up.  Meeting dates and times are listed below.

If you have any questions, have your student email Mr. George at
