SRVUSD and SEIU Reach Tentative Agreement

We are very pleased to share with you that on Friday, February 15, 2019, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and the Service Employees International Union, Local 1021 (SEIU) reached a tentative agreement on a new 3-year successor contract for 2018-2021. Among its many provisions, the agreement includes a 3% base salary increase for 2018-2019 that is retroactive to July 1, 2018. Other provisions of the agreement include: expansion of provisions for taking leave, modifications in provisions pertaining to probation and evaluation, restructuring of longevity, and revisions to practice for compensating and allocating leave for Transportation Department employees who work during summer recess.


SEIU will conduct their ratification vote over the next several days and, if passed, it will be recommended to the Board of Education for ratification at its March 12th meeting. Once ratified, the negotiated salary increase will be reflected in March paychecks and retroactive salary increases will be paid in April.
